These are the terms accepted at booking. They cover the booking fee, the notice required to change an appointment, and what applies when a service is changed or cannot go ahead.

Booking fees

OPIA operates by appointment only, with limited availability each day. When an appointment is reserved, that time and studio availability are held specifically for the client booked into it.

A non-refundable 25% booking fee, inclusive of GST, is required to reserve an appointment. It is calculated on the full service total, including any add-ons. Consultations and patch tests are paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

The booking fee reserves appointment time and studio availability; it is not payment for receiving the service itself. When an appointment is attended as scheduled, the fee is applied toward the service total. If an appointment is cancelled, rescheduled or cannot be performed, this does not make the booking fee refundable or automatically transferable. Transferability is determined by the notice requirements below.

Rescheduling & cancellation notice

The following minimum notice is required:

• Permanent Makeup — 72 hours
• Beauty & Laser Services — 48 hours
• Consultations & Patch Tests — 48 hours

Changes made with at least the required notice allow the booking fee — or, for consultations and patch tests, the full payment — to be transferred to a new appointment and held for up to 1 year from the date it was originally paid.

Changes made with less than the required notice, but more than 24 hours before the appointment, result in a charge equal to 40% of the scheduled service price + GST. The booking fee already paid is credited toward the amount due.

Changes made with less than 24 hours' notice result in a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled service price + GST. The booking fee already paid is credited toward the amount due.

No-shows

An appointment is treated as a no-show when the client has not arrived 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and has not made contact regarding a late arrival. No-shows are responsible for 75% of the scheduled service price + GST. The booking fee already paid is credited toward the amount due.

Any remaining amount due under these terms is charged to the card securely kept on file. A new booking fee is required to reserve another appointment following any late cancellation or no-show.

Arrival time

Appointments begin at the scheduled time. Notice of a late arrival should be sent by reply to the appointment email. Late arrivals are accommodated wherever the day allows, and a $25 fee per 15 minutes may apply. Where the time remaining is not enough to perform the service safely and properly, the appointment is rescheduled and treated as a same-day cancellation. An appointment moved is always better than a face rushed.

When a service cannot be performed, is declined, or is changed

An appointment is considered to have begun once the before photographs are taken, or at first physical contact — whichever happens first.

OPIA Brows & Beauty reserves the right to decline or discontinue a service at any time where the artist determines that proceeding would not be safe, appropriate, or in the client's best interest, or where the requested shape, colour, technique or result falls outside what the artist is willing to perform.

Where the booked service does not go ahead, what applies depends on the reason, and on whether the appointment has begun.

A contraindication, pre-care that was not followed, the condition or response of the skin, an inability to proceed, or a client's decision not to continue

• Before the appointment has begun — the booking fee is forfeited. No further charge applies.
• After the appointment has begun — a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled service price + GST applies, and the booking fee already paid is credited toward that amount. This includes deciding not to proceed after mapping, or at any point once work has started.

Where the artist declines

Where the requested shape, colour, technique or result falls outside what the artist is willing to perform, and no alternative can be agreed, the booking fee is forfeited and no further charge applies, whether or not the appointment has begun.

Where a different service is performed instead

• Where the replacement service uses the reserved time, or frees no more than 30 minutes of it, the booking fee is applied toward the replacement service and no further charge applies.
• Where the replacement service frees more than 30 minutes of reserved time, the booking fee is forfeited and the replacement service is paid for in full.

No-exception policy

These terms apply regardless of circumstance, including illness, personal or family emergencies, transportation issues, weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Unexpected circumstances are understood. Reserved appointment time, studio space and operating costs remain committed regardless of whether the scheduled service is ultimately performed.
