I’ve been doing my eyebrows since I was         8 years old.

I tried it all, tinting, henna, waterproof makeup- you name it. The reason I’ve been doing this so long is because when I was 4 I had shingles (a virus that causes painful rashes and blisters) over my forehead, brow and eyelid. This left a lot of scarring and I was lucky to not go blind. 

At that young and tender age, I hated how I looked, the scars that were left resulted in patchy asymmetrical brows and discolored scarring. I remember saying in the mirror, “you’re a monster” – super sad, I know. But don’t feel too bad, I’ve done a lot of healing around that, and it’s brought me to where and who I am today. Once I found out about Permanent Makeup, 

my first thought was 

“I absolutely need this”

soon followed by,

“I could do this”

I began my journey to become the best Permanent Makeup Brow Artist I could be. I started investing a lot of money, time, and energy to grow my skills as an artist. It definitely wasn’t as easy as I thought, it required sacrifice in unexpected ways… but that’s the cost of growth, and being the artist I am today, I am so grateful I pushed through and cultivated my skills. 

I founded OPIA Brows & Beauty and chose “OPIA” which means,

“ the intense, invasive, vulnerable feeling of maintaining eye contact ”

Which had been a core issue for someone who NEVER went without eyebrow makeup and struggled with self confidence because of it. But “OPIA” was what I wanted for myself, and now, what I work to give to others. 

I love this industry because the more I invest into growing my skills as an artist, the more equipped I am to cater to each unique clients’ desired result. When I’m done with the procedure, and this problem of their eyebrows is finally over, I have them look in the mirror, and

I see in their eyes that they feel beautiful.

As I continued my career, I found myself interested in other ways to “wake up and feel beautiful”. I learned about Lip Blush and once I did it on myself, I knew it was a game changer for my day-to-day confidence. I then learned other non-permanent beauty services like Lash-lifts and Brow Lamination, all in the pursuit of

serving my clients in ways that would enhance their experience of themselves

After over 4 years in the industry of permanent makeup, with hundreds of clients under my belt, I realized, “there are so many women where Laser Tattoo Removal is their only option because I can’t work overtop their previous, often poorly done, permanent makeup brows… this is so sad.” So I made it my new mission to acquire a

modern, effective tattoo removal machine

so I never had to say no to someone asking me for help. Clients have usually been dealing with their bad permanent makeup for years, and

I wanted to solve this new epidemic of

  “bad brows”

Now, since providing laser brow treatments, I’ve been thrilled to tackle every set of eyebrows that come through my door. After successful  removal, I can give them the artistic & beautiful brows they had always wanted.
