Pre-Care & Contraindications

Botox & Filler

No Botox or Filler on/near your brows 1 week before your appointment date.

Skin Care, Facials & Procedures

It is reccomended you use a gentle exfoliating acid (nothing intense as Glycolic acid, but a gentle AHA) or a gentle physical scrub 24-48 hours before your appointment, to help prep the skin to be stained by removing a layer of dead skin.

Make sure you’ve used the product before and had no rection prior to using it to prep for your appointment.

Avoid resurfacing treatments, including microdermabrasion, microneedling, laser peels, chemical peels, within 4 weeks before and 2 weeks after your service. Gentle or hydrating facials are fine. This service includes a brow wax, which should not be done on recently treated skin.

Spray Tan

No spray tans on the face (professional or at home) 1 week before the appointment.

Having any of the following are contraindications for the service: active acne (on or very near the brows), cuts, irritation, inflamation, sunburn, psoriasis, eczema, shingles, rosacea, any kind or rash, alopecia, recent eye surgery, eye infections

AFTER-CARE

Keep the eyebrows dry the first 24 hours

After a Brow Lamination treatment you must keep your brows dry for at least 24 hours. This is required for the setting prcoess of the products used.

Avoid Sun Exposure for 24 hours

Your eyebrows have recently been waxed which means that the skin is sensitive. A tanning session could cause you to have an allergic reaction as the solutions are still in their setting process.

Avoid Working out, Swimming, Sauna, Steam Room

Avoid hot steamy showers for the first 2 days.

Intensive exercise including Hot Yoga: Avoid for at least 24 hours.

Swimming, Sauna & Steam Room: Avoid for the first 2 days.

Do not rub, use peels, scrubs, exfoliating acids

Do not rub your brows as this can cause them to be mishapen and fall prematurely. This includes sleeping on your face.

Do not use any exfoliator on or very near your brows for at least 72 hours. Using a soltuion like AHA or BHA, Glycolic Acid or a physical exfoliant will disrupt the setting process.

Using Cleansing & Skin care Products

While cleaning your skin, avoid or only very gently cleanse the eyebrows, which should only be done after 24 hours.

Oil-based products cause the stain to fade faster. Therefore, always look carefully at the list of ingredients of your products.

Style daily while wet with a spoolie

Use a spoolie to groom your brows every day while wet, or freshly patted dry. Brush them upward and outward to maintain their shape and ensure the hairs are going in the direction you want.

Condition & Nourish

Brow conditioner is reccomended after 24 hours. Castor oil, brow serums or a product for brow lamination cna be applied twice a day to help nourish and maintain the brows. Regular hair conditioner can be used 2-3 times a week for a few minutes while in the shower.

Expected Results

Brow lamination can last for up to 6 weeks. The tint will remain on the skin for a few days, but on the hairs for up to 6 weeks.

However there are some reasons you may not achieve this result:
    • If you do not style and nourish your brows daily.
    • If you do not follow the aftercare.
    • If you did not follow the pre-care
    • Your lifestyle is “rough” on your brows, where they get exposed to external influences frequently.
    • You have thick, stubborn or curly brows.
